Reddit: My favorite website

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my favorite website with you. It’s called reddit. It’s a website where people cast make posts about any kind of subject in different subcategories which they call “subreddits.” Reddit is basically a big internet content feed.

The most common subreddits are for things like videos, news, music, and cute animals. But there are also tons of subreddits for very specific interests, like specific bands, TV shows, languages, health advice, objects that look like people, and thousands of others.

One of my favorite subreddits is called “mildlyinteresting.” It’s a subreddit where people post pictures of things that they found mildly interesting. Not boring, and not too interesting, just mildly interesting. Here is a link to some of the best posts on /r/mildly interesting: https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/top/?sort=top&t=all

As with all reddit posts, it’s important to understand the title before clicking the link, so make sure you read it if you check this out!

Chidorigafuchi Hanami 千鳥ヶ淵 花見

Yesterday Dave and I headed to Yasukuni Shrine to see the cherry blossoms.

Across the street from Yasukuni Shrine, I’d always seen lines of people waiting to see the cherry blossoms at Chidorigafuchi, but I’d never actually walked through the area myself.

Well yesterday, after fourteen and a half years in Japan, I finally did it.

Here is a selfie!

Hawaii ハワイ

I wanted to share a quick photo of my trip to Hawaii back in February.

Here is a photo of Don, Ryan, Dave, and I. It was really great getting to see Ryan after over a year.

Can anyone spot what’s funny about this photo?

Well, three out of the four people in it are wearing Hawaiin shirts! I guess I didn’t get the memo! Ha ha!
(“I didn’t get the memo” is slang for “No one told me.”)
