Have you ever heard someone talk about their New Years resolution before?
A resolution is like a promise to do something. So at the beginning of the year it’s common for people to make a new goal or try to finish something.
This year, my resolution is to study Japanese harder. I’ve been studying on and off for a long time, but I really want to be better at speaking. So this year I’m going to set some time every morning to study before I go to work.
Of course, one of the interesting things about New Years resolutions is to see how long we can keep them. I’m going to try really hard to stick to this resolution.
So, what is your new years resolution this year?

私の「今年の抱負」は、「余裕をもって事にあたる」です。いつも、ぎりぎりで慌しい毎日ではなく、時間的にも精神的にも余裕をもつということ。
日本語、がんばってくださいね
I try to make three new years resolutions every year.
Usually I give up at two of them though….
My 2012 new years resolutions are:
1. Study Japanese! Same as you, John! I bought a new kanji game for me nintendo DS
2. Get in shape! I ate way too much over the winter holiday so this year I’m going to exercise more.
3. Travel. This year I want to visit a new country.
I hope I can do all three!
Hello John
I hope you can get used to Japanese!
As for me, I try to express English in other words that I know.
Because I tend to translate litterary in English and I’m at a loss for words.

If you can travel a new country, I’d like you to upload its topics and pictures on jabble’s blog and something like that.
Achako, good luck with your resolution. You might have to start waking up earlier.
Joanne, I might start playing my DS again if that game is good. I need to have fun when I learn.
Miyuku, it’s great if you can use English in a more natural way. Just keep talking to people in English, and you’ll get there.
